Leonardo AW139 helicopter charter from London
When the party is a principal, a family or a group of clients of up to eight, and you want the most space we can give you, the AW139 is the helicopter to ask for. It is the biggest aircraft in our charter fleet and you notice it as soon as you step in: the cabin is tall enough to stand in, the seats are cream leather and the trim is polished wood.
Boarding is by a fold-down airstair, two pilots fly every trip, and there is one layout only: the VIP configuration, with eight seats and no extra rows squeezed in.
It cruises at about 165 knots and can fly roughly 570 nautical miles, which puts most of England within about an hour of Battersea. It can also land at private estates and country houses, provided the site is suitable and the landowner agrees. We arrange the permissions.
Availability is limited, so tell us the date and the route and we will say straight away whether the AW139 is free. If it is not, we will tell you honestly whether the Airbus H145 D3 or the Agusta 109 Grand will do the job as well.

How many people can the AW139 take?
Eight passengers. That is the only layout we offer on this helicopter, and two pilots fly it as standard.
Can the AW139 land at a private estate or venue?
Often, yes, as long as the site is suitable and the landowner agrees. We deal with the permissions and check the site for you. Our article on whether a helicopter can land at your venue explains how it works.
How far and how fast does it fly?
It cruises at about 165 knots and can fly roughly 570 nautical miles, so a party of eight can reach most of England from London in about an hour. Treat the figures as typical: load, weather and route all change them.
Is the AW139 always free?
No, availability is limited. Send us your date and route and we will tell you at once whether it is free, or whether the Airbus H145 D3 or Agusta 109 Grand will suit your party.
